Clifford Edward Hoeppel

Clifford “HOP” Edward Hoeppel died peacefully at his home in Sedro Woolley on March 24th, he was 89 years old. Hop was born on November 6, 1921 in Bakersfield CA.
In 1947 he married Lois Louise James, she predeceased him in 2007.
He flew PBY’s in the US Navy patrol squadron 72 on aircraft carriers in the south pacific theater in WWII and ended his working days as a pilot for first Western & then Delta Airlines. Prior to his retirement he and Louise bought property in Hannah Heights and built their retirement home. They lived on San Juan Island for over 30 years until he moved to Sedro Woolley in 2008 where he made numerous friends & ended his days with laughter.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Cheri Maust of Friday Harbor.
