04/08/2009: "One Talented Writer"

I love the columns by Amy Wynn. I have lived here for 38 years (one of the California, post 60's dropouts) and have never read anyone who described Island life as well as she does. Her reminders about island "quirks", the island "cold", and the sunrises and sunsets from the ferry say an awful lot about her keen observations about our lives here. In this day of controversy about the dumpsite, cell towers, accessory structures, and "Critical Areas" we need more letters like Amy's. What a talent she is.
