06/11/2019: "Kiwanis 4th of July Pig War Picnic"

ig_SO_K_PigWarPicnic2019-001 (90k image)almost time for San Juan Island’s Annual Fourth of July Pig War Picnic! You’re not going to want to miss this year’s Pig War Picnic. Live Music, Kids Games, Beer Garden and much much more. If you were there last year, you joined hundreds of island families who brought their kids, friends, and relatives to our one-of-a-kind community picnic.

They are expecting an even bigger and better event this year. The Islands favorite -- the Chameleons -- will be playing all afternoon. There will be a watermelon eating contest, cakewalk, Island Rec’s kids' games including pennies in the hay, three-legged races and the best-pulled pork barbecue lunch in town for only $10! And $5 hot dog meals for the kids and a beer garden for the grown ups. Don’t miss this nationally acclaimed event! Its small town living at its best.

New Location: Corner Lot at Spring & Price Street (near the Catholic Church and the baseball field).
