What is a sharks favorite sandwich?
A peanut butter and jellyfish!
Stanley Keith Gurske touched everyone he met with his humor and wit. Stan passed peacefully in his San Juan Island home 11/13/18 after a hard fight with cancer. He kept his humor until the very end of his courageous fight. Stan encouraged all around him to find “the silver linings” in his journey.

Stan was born 3/24/52 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Gurske-Taylor, brother Greg Gurske, sister Denise Siegel, daughter Megan Gurske, and granddaughters Ramona, Thea, and Piper Flierl. He is preceded by his father, Gene Gurske.

Stan took great pride in his passion for all things with wheels. He loved car racing of all forms, slot car racing, his job in excavating, his lawn mowers, and even owned a driving simulator. He spent great amounts of his time in his large shop and on his land with many visitors throughout the years that will hold fond memories of Thunder Head IPA, NASCAR races, and silly jokes.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for humor and hugs.

A celebration of Stan’s life will be late Spring 2019. Announcement of date will come later.
