A vehicle accident in September on Orcas Island that claimed the life of Rachel Gibson, 32, has resulted in the driver of the vehicle being charged with vehicular homicide.

The driver of the car Tucker Abdon, 33, was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham and was found to have been driving while over the legal limit for blood alcohol.

Rachel Gibson was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but did not survive her injuries.
