08/01/2018: "Let the Festival Begin!"

With just 48 hours to go until the launch of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival’s 21st Season, the staff and their invaluable, intrepid volunteers are ready for the festival to begin. Tickets Still Available:

Great news if you’re looking for tickets: Stage seating has been opened for a number of evenings"the most up close and personal seats in the house. And remember, new seats appear all the time as tickets morph from night to night, so check the big orange “Summer Festival Tickets” button on the left at www.oicmf.org regularly!

They are welcoming musicians from across the country, getting everything set up in the Orcas Center, and beginning rehearsals.

It’s hustle and bustle everywhere, as it will be for the next two-plus weeks, with music - beautiful music - filling the air. And this music is not to be missed.

From the opening concert, Music Among Friends, on August 3rd, to the Dvořák Finale! on the 18th, and the events, lectures, concerts, receptions, and parties in between, we’re excited to be celebrating with you. Welcome to everyone. It’s time!
