06/05/2018: "Orcas Woman Killed In Mainland Auto Accident"

Orcas resident Kathryn M. Jensen, 95, was killed Monday afternoon in an auto accident in Skagit County.

According to the Washington State Patrol report as cited in the Sky Valley Chronicle , “Jensen’s white Geo Prism was stopped at a stop sign on Campbell Lake Road in Skagit County while a Skagit County Sheriff's office SUV, a silver 2015 Ford Explorer was traveling south on State Route 20 when, for reasons unknown the Chevrolet turned left right in front of the SUV causing the larger SUV to run into the smaller Geo Prism.”
