Robert Alan Querry passed away March 5, 2018, in his home on the Central Coast of California after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born in Munich, Germany on October 15, 1947, to parents Robert and Priscilla Querry.

He grew up in Washington, graduating from Thurston High School in Lacey, Wa. He attended Reed College and Portland State University, with graduate work at Harvard University.

Bob lived many years in Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, where he worked for the County Planning Department until he retired. He then opened a consultant firm, The Permit Center and worked with clients up until his passing.

After marrying Terra Tamai in 2008, Bob and Terra relocated to the Central Coast of California in 2013 where they lived until he passed away. He was 70 years old.

Bob leaves behind his wife Terra Tamai, stepson Tyler Tamai (Amanda), and his beloved grandchildren Hunter, Jack, and Maddie Tamai. He also leaves his mother, Priscilla Querry, his sister Kathryn Querry, and Suzanne Querry (Nancy Carlson).
