Steve James, a fabulous Roots and Blues guitar picker/singer/songwriter and interpreter of The Blues idiom will be in Friday Harbor at Isle Be Jammin .

James hails from Austin Texas, the. music central and home of some of the finest musicians around.

He has accolades a mile long. He is an endorser for National Steel Guitars, writes a column for Acoustic Guitar magazine, has represented the USA overseas as an Emissary of the Blues, sponsored by the State Department.

He tours the world playing guitar and mandolin. He has instructional videos through Homespun Tapes and teaches in a vast array of Guitar Workshops around the Globe.

He is a music historian, has incredible knowledge of American Roots music, sings and plays intricately with power, grace and dedication. His many recordings feature him not only as a soloist, but also include some really great sidemen and women. Steve is a fabulous entertainer and as Third Coast Magazine puts it.....Steve James is "a true American hero!!!"
