05/10/2012: "Brickworks Cake Walk"

Celebrate family and community at the first annual Cake Walk on the Plaza. Saturday May 12th from 11:00 -1:00, at Brickworks, 150 Nichols St., Friday Harbor. Come early to vote on the best-decorated cakes, with People’s Choice Awards, and prizes for the top five cakes.


Live music by the local group, Opah, will lead circles of friends and island neighbors in rounds of Cake Walking. Walk and win an edible masterpiece - bring home a fantastic cake for Mother’s Day.

All students that participate in the sponsored Cakewalk Coloring/Drawing Event will receive one free ticket to Cakewalk. Entry blanks will be available at FHES, Paidea, and Stillpoint Schools and the SJI Library.

Cakes are needed! Cakes should be dropped off at 9:30 am at Brickworks. Bakers interested in creating and donating cakes should contact: Tori Zehner at 378-6301
