12/30/2011: "State Land Acquisition Performance Monitoring Report"
The Habitat and Recreation Lands Coordinating Group has published its first report that takes a look at how successful state agencies were at buying habitat and recreation land.
The report, “State Land Acquisition Performance Monitoring Report.” reviews past land purchases of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Department of Natural Resources, and State Parks and Recreation Commission to see whether they purchased the land they had received grant funding to buy.
Data from the report can be used to identify strengths and weaknesses in state acquisition processes and inform decisions made by the Legislature, state agencies, local governments, and others.
