DON'T MISS THE PARADE! Saturday, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Fire up the tractor, gussy-up the goat, dress the baby as a carrot or just come as you are to the first annual Fall Harvest Parade in Friday Harbor!
Celebrate the end of the summer farm season and SJI's farm heritage--past and present.
The parade will stage at the Fair Grounds, travel down Argyle Avenue, turning right on Spring Street and right again on First, then go around Sunken Park and up Nichols Street back to Argyle. Post-parade festivities are being planned for the Brickworks immediately after the parade ends.
There is still time to be part of the parade! Invited are farm-related parade participants on foot, tractor or truck. This event is being organized by the Agricultural Resources Committee for the 2011 October Fall Harvest Festival and Savor the San Juans 2011.
Location: Parade starts at the San Juan County Fairgrounds at 2:30.
