09/09/2011: "Only Some Flags Lowered to Half Staff Sunday"

Gov. Chris Gregoire directed that all Washington State and United States flags at state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Sunday, Sept. 11th, in recognition of national Patriot Day. Gregoire encouraging all government entities, citizens and businesses to join in this recognition, but a drive around Friday Harbor showed many did not lower the flags in honor of Patriot Day -which occurs on September 11th of each year in memory of those killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks.
