Soroptimists of Friday Harbor honored their incoming officers for the 2011-2012 year at their annual Installation Dinner at the Mullis Center June 26, 2011.

The new officers are: President, Laura Tuttle; President Elect, Heather Spaulding; Past President Patty Brightman; Recording Secretary Kim Galton; Treasurer Julie Hanks; Membership Treasurer Lori Stokes; Directors Carolee Maya and Michelle Lyons; and Program Coordinator Marcy Hahn. With 100 members, they are looking forward to another great year of projects for our island community.

This summer, Soroptimists are marched in the 4th of July Parade, painting faces at the Pig War Picnic, and are participating in Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Watch for another great Bunko Night in September to benefit the Cancer Treatment Transportation Project, which provides ferry tickets for island patients travelling to the mainland for treatment.
