06/27/2011: ""Sculpted Alive" Auditions"
San Juan Islands IMA (Island Museum of Arts and Sculpture Park) is calling for performance artists to audition on July 16th for a Labor Day Weekend extravaganza.
The first "SCULPTED ALIVE" event will be based on all types of art-forms, performing live interpretations of sculptures at the park.
All art forms are welcome - except sculptors! You can read, paint, sing, dance, juggle, mime, clown, act, trapeze, high wire, whatever you do - and use your art-form to loosely interpret any sculpture at the park.
The event will feature a parade, live music, food, beverages, artists (sculptors) in residence and more. It's all for the benefit of IMA and is planned to be an annual event.
Auditions will be held on SJI on the property of the new Eclectic Lady Land Recording Ranch LLC on the afternoon of July 16th.
Send an email to rikkiswin@gmail.com for an audition time. Free food - after!
