03/04/2011: "Sex Offender Release Announcement"
The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is announcing that a Level 3 Sex Offender will be moving into San Juan County at the end of March. Community meetings set.
David Stewart will be moving from Snohomish County to San Juan Island. Mr. Stewart was convicted in 2003 in Snohomish County of Rape of a Child in the First Degree. Stewart is under Department of Corrections supervision for 24 months from the time of his release. He will be supervised by Rob Dieckman, from the Oak Harbor office of Department of Corrections. Dieckman can be reached at (360) 675-9031.
Two community meetings will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Roche Harbor Resort Pavilion at 4:00 p.m. and the Mullis Center, Friday Harbor at 6:00 p.m.
These meetings will be attended by personnel from San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, San Juan County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Department of Corrections. Information about Mr. Stewart will be provided and any questions will be answered at these times.
Information about sex offenders can be accessed on Offender Watch from the San Juan County Sheriff’s web page. This page will allow you to sign up for notification when an offender is released and provides general information about sex offenders.
