01/07/2011: "New LB Commission"
At its December 17th 2010 meeting, the Land Bank Commission elected Tom Cowan, from Lopez Island, as its Chair.
He has served as a member-at-large on the Commission since December, 2000. “The Land Bank’s mission to conserve important properties throughout our Islands is so important to our citizens. I’m proud to be a member of the Commission,” he stated.
Also elected were Doug Strandberg as Vice Chair and Jim Skoog to continue as Financial Officer. Both live on San Juan.
The four other members comprising the board are: Lisa Wolford and Lance Evans, Orcas Island; Nancy Greene, Lopez Island, and; Amanda Azous, San Juan Island.
