09/02/2010: "FH Airport Closed 9-7-10"

Friday Harbor Airport will be closed for maintenance work on the runway and taxiways from Tuesday, September 7th at 8:00 pm and will remain closed until Friday morning, September 10th at 6:00 am, weather permitting. The project will involve pavement repair and seal-coating.

In the event of unfavorable weather, this work will be postponed until Monday night, September 13 through Thursday morning, September 16.

In order to minimize the time the airport is closed, work will continue through the night. Residents living near the airport may notice some noise including trucks, air compressors and other machinery. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will do our best to keep this noise to a minimum.
