06/27/2010: "Concrete Art Class"
Learn the art of making concrete cast leaves using actual leaves and cement as instructor Debbie Pigman guides through the process with a little bit of talk, and lots of hands on time and tips for success.
These unique leaves can be used as a birdbath, yard art, serving dish or simple home or garden decoration. Register by July 1 and save $10!
The class is on Saturday July 10 from noon to 4pm in the high school Tech building. Register online at www.islandrec.org or in person at Monday through Friday 1-5pm at Island Rec at 580 Guard Street. Participants will go home with 2-3 leaves they have made as well as the knowledge and skill to make many more!
