03/24/2010: "Board Members Needed"

The Town of Friday Harbor is accepting nominations for one open position on the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB).

HPRB members are volunteers who are appointed by the Mayor for terms of two-years, and are charged with carrying out the historic preservation elements of the Town of Friday Harbor’s Comprehensive Plan. The HPRB meets twice monthly, at 7pm, the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to design, cultural anthropology, urban planning, design review, historical research, and local history. Residency in Friday Harbor, and membership in the San Juan Historical Society are preferred, but not required.
