Shireene Hale of the Department of Community Development and Planning was the League of Women Voters of the San Juans guest speaker on Monday. Hale gave a PowerPoint presentation on the origins and impacts of critical area regulations & the Critical Areas Ordinance progress to date. The Washington State League stated they have extensively studied the Growth Management Act and supports its goals.
