01/25/2010: "FH Ace Is Coming Back"

The old Friday Harbor Hardware will be opening again in March or April as the new Friday Harbor Ace Hardware;

good news for the local work force, store manager Don Galt Jr. has announced in a classified ad that he is “looking for friendly and energetic people who find helping others rewarding and challenging.”

The store was auctioned off from the court house steps as part of a bankruptcy proceeding to the highest bidder in October of last year, to Danmoor LLC, owned by Lynn Danaher and Dave Moorhouse, both of Friday Harbor. The new owners plan to “not only continue to maintain a hardware store, but to make it "much better than it has been."
