12/09/2009: "Writing Grant Proposals"
The San Juan Island Library is partnering with Nonprofits Unlimited to host a free training on December 10 from noon to 1:30 on writing grant proposals.
The training is in the form of a webinar, or online seminar. Participants will watch the presentation on the library’s new large format flat panel screen in the meeting room. After the 60 minute presentation, Liz Illg of Nonprofits Unlimited will lead a discussion of the presentation.
In this webinar you will learn the basics of writing a proposal for your nonprofit organization. If you are new to proposal writing, you may be wondering: What are the key components of a proposal to a foundation or corporation? Who should sign a grant request? How should the proposal be packaged? Should you contact a funder if your proposal is turned down?
Proposal Writing Basics, an introductory overview of the process for new proposal writers, offers to give answers to these questions.
