08/06/2009: "Rick Larsen In FH Monday"

US Representative Rick Larsen is coming to town on Monday, August 10, to visit businesses to check out "How are things going?"

Chamber Board member, Sam Jacobson, will escort him around town between 10am and 11am, and then from 11:30 to 12:30 he will meet with veterans at the American Legion post in Friday Harbor to hear, among other topics, their concerns about the closure of the VA clinic in Friday Harbor.

He makes periodic trips to town hubs in his district, the Second Congressional District of Washington state, which stretches from northern Snohomish County clear to the Canadian border, encompassing all of Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom counties.
