07/03/2009: "Recording Fees Go Up"

Starting July 27 there will be an additional $20.00 surcharge to record documents. The money raised will be used to support homelessness programs. The surcharge is the result of House Bill 2331, introduced on April 1 and passed out of both houses of the Washington State Legislature on April 25. The surcharge will be in effect for the biennia of 2009-2011, and 2011-2013. ( New Fees )
