05/06/2009: "Meeting On Crab Catch"
Sport crabbers can learn how the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife sets allocations and the season for Dungeness crab catch in the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound. This is an opportunity for crabbers to discuss crab accounting and other issues affecting recreational crab harvest with Rich Childers, the state’s Shellfish Policy Coordinator.
The meeting will be held on May 7 at 6:30 PM at fire hall #3, located at 1011 Mullis Street in Friday Harbor. The meeting is sponsored by the Puget Sound Anglers and San Juan Marine Resources Committee.
