01/29/2009: "Lecture: "Ansel Adams""
Dr. Michael Adams presented a lecture entitled, "Ansel Adams, Passionate Environmentalist - The Early Years & Traveling the Southwest," Friday Night on San Juan Island.
The lecture helped to illuminate the personal and artistic life of Michael's famous photographer fatherm Ansel Adams..
Dr. Adams practiced medicine in Fresno for many years before retiring in 2000. He and his wife took over Best’s Studio in Yosemite in 1971, changing the name to The Ansel Adams Gallery in 1972. They have overseen the family businesses since that time.
The lecture was presented by the San Juan Islands Museum of Art & Sculpture Park, as part of the Art As A Voice lecture series.
