01/26/2009: "SJI & Shaw "Safe""

A recent study and report
indicates that real estate in San Juan County is less active than it was a year ago, by an average of 53%. However, the medium home price comparison for the various islands is not as bad as one might think -compared to the horror stories coming out of the mainland.

The percentage of decrease for San Juan Island was on 6%, while the biggest drop was on Lopez, with a 20% decrease, and the smallest drop was only 2.2% on Shaw and the non-ferry served islands.
