09/30/2008: "Public Hearing On Tax Increase"

San Juan County Noxious Weed Control Board had its first hearing last month before the San Juan County Council on anOrdinace increased tax assessment. No action was taken at that time, but there was a a second, and final public hearing Tuesday (Oct14th) at 1:00 p.m. The Budget Proposal is to fund and restore the capacity of the Noxious Weed Control Program adequately for a minimum of five years.

There were also a number of presentations on various department budget proposals, as the Council begins to look at how much to give to whom 2009.
