09/05/2008: "Matt Johnson Has Passed"

Matt Johnson has lost his battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a very rare blood disease which is a precursor to Acute Myelodysplastic Leukemia. Matt’s only hope for a cure was a stem cell transplant.

Sadly, the attempt to save Matt’s life came to an end on Thursday. Matt and his family had set up a website at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mattjohnson2 , where Jackie Johnson has written about their last moments together.
