07/11/2008: "Septic Inspection Classes Full"
San Juan County’s Environmental Health Manager Mark Tompkins reports that all of the County’s scheduled septic system inspection classes have been filled through December. ( Related Story )
Tompkins says the Health Department will not place any more names on waiting lists for this year’s classes; however the Department is now preparing a full schedule of classes for 2009. San Juan Counties will be able to reserve space in those classes after the schedule is announced in September.
“The response has been overwhelming,” Tompkins said. “By the end of the year we will have certified between 600 and 700 individuals.”
