07/09/2008: "Music on the Lawn"


Music on the Lawn Free, Island Rec’s Summer Concert Series. Island Rec’s is delighted to announce the 8th Season of Music on the Lawn, Island Rec’s free summer concert series! Music on the Lawn is a favorite local event for families and adults. The series runs 5 consecutive Wednesday nights beginning July 9 through August 6 from 6:30-8:30pm on the lawn of the San Juan Historical Museum on Price Street.

On July 16 Jimmy Free’s Friends, a reggae band loving the traditional one drop and shank performs. A popular band in the Northwest Festival scene they perform their own blend of reggae, rock and rhythm and blues.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic dinners, as no concessions are sold, blankets or chairs and to please leave dogs and alcohol at home.
