Early Learning Center - Program Supervisor Wanted


Orcas Island Children's House has an immediate opening for a Program Supervisor which is a PART-TIME position reporting to the Executive Director. This position is located in Eastsound, WA on Orcas Island.

Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the planning and supervising of the center's learning and activity program to ensure that practices meet the WAC, are varied and developmentally appropriate;
- Approximately 22-hours on-site program supervisory duties;
- Classroom teaching support when needed for up to 6 additional hours.

Children's House is a licensed early learning center serving island families for more than 40 years. Children's House helps to preserve the sustainability of our unique Island by providing families an education-oriented environment for their toddler- and preschool-aged children. We utilize a play-based curriculum for toddlers and preschool children that fosters their cognitive, physical, social-emotional and language development.

HELP WANTED: Lab Manager


Inter Island Medical Center has an opening for a full time lab manager. Current Lab Manager will be leaving in September. On the job training can begin now if necessary.
Qualifications are: Medical Lab Technician (MLT), or Associate in Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or certified phlebotomist with excellent skills, with at least 2 year lab/medical experience, and with attention to detail to carry out lab manager duties.

• Responsibilities include performing waived and moderately complex tests as defined by CLIA “88” with limited supervision and in a busy Family Practice setting.
• Responsible for specimen collections prepared for transportation to reference labs.
• Must maintain dept. compliance with lab accrediting agencies including proficiency testing, quality control and quality assurance.
• Must have working knowledge and experience with EMR and computer interface with reference lab.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

Able to lift and carry at least 60 lbs
Able to work standing for 7 consecutive hours (2 breaks every 8 hours)
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Must possess a "Team" attitude and a willingness to learn hardware skills
Ability to take direction
Must be available weekdays, weekends and holidays as scheduled
