The San Juan Community Theatre is looking for a coordinator for the
upcoming Islands Playwrights Festival.
The work runs from now till the festival runs in mid-February of 2009. There is a $500 stipend for this interesting and stimulating position.

We are looking to fill two part time positions in our Visitor Information Center.

1. Brochure Rack "Stocker" - Stock racks with chamber member brochures at locations in and near Friday Harbor.
Two hours per week. May 1 - October 1. Need valid drivers license and transportation. Independent worker with good organizational skills.

2. Student Intern - We offer a six month internship for a high school student. Program offers training in development of administrative, organization and customer service skills. Independent work with good people skills. Have fun talking about the island with our visitors!

Help Wanted: Director of Administration


The Westcott Bay Institute is growing and seeks an Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the Institute's consistent achievement of its mission and reports to the Board of Directors to carry out plans & policies.

Responsibilities: Provide leadership in developing organizational & financial plans, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the community and artists. Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy to achieve its mission. Oversee and expand current fundraising activities and pursue funding opportunities with local government. Promote volunteer participation. Maintain official records to ensure compliance with state and federal nonprofit regulations, maintain sound financial practices and execute legal documents.

Applicants should have experience working with the public & the Friday Harbor community, knowledge of the arts, some development and / or management experience, excellent communication skills and should be a good multi-tasker.

San Juan Community Theatre is seeking a costume shop manager for 12 hours a week. Maintain and track inventory; clean and mend costumes as necessary; buy and stock supplies; assist volunteers in pulling, building and returning show costumes; rent costumes to general public; enhance effectiveness and efficiency of shop operations.
