The 23rd Annual Knowledge Bowl in the support of SJI schools is always well attended and always entertains; starting with the witty and engaging Brent Snow, who asks the questions -and keeps things moving at a rapid clip.

The participants were members of San Juan Island’s service clubs and 8th grade to senior students, who are required to quickly respond to questions ranging from the arts to science and math, and areas in-between.

In the end, the seniors scored the most points, with the Rotary coming in second. In terms of fun, it was the eight graders who were the clear winners in the audience choice of best costume when they raised their arms and revealed their Monarch Butterfly wings (see photo above). Total funds raised by the San Juan Public Schools Foundation this year: nearly $178,000.00
