07/08/2012: "Council Back In Session Monday & Tuesday: CAO On Agenda"
Come Monday the County Council will be back, hopefully tan, rested, and ready to go to work on full agendas for Monday and Tuesday.
Agenda items include: Discussion on Uplands Fish and Wildlife Habitat Conservation Areas Section and Marine Fish and Wildlife Habitat Conservation Areas Section of the Critical Area Ordinance.
This will be their “1st Touch” of a Planning Commission Draft Version dated June 7, 2012.
The Council and staff will review, discuss and ask questions of staff and then head out for a field trip to multiple sites to see examples of what they are writing regulations for.
Then on Tuesday they begin at 8:30 AM on a “Continued Public Hearing To Adopt County Code 18.30 Updates Relating to Agricultural Sales, Recycling and Clarification of Terms, Regarding Amendment of San Juan County Code Sections 220.127.116.11 and 18.40, and Adding New Section to SJCC 18.30 (continued from June 26. However, the the “Public Comment” period was closed at the last meeting.
There will also be a short Presentation of the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau Semi-annual Report with a Presentation of the Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan.
And then, there “Regular” scheduled meeting will begin at 10:00 am.
