07/02/2012: "Rock the Dock Back On 4th"

Rock the Dock is a traditional family event with great entertainment from the Timebenders. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Port of Friday Harbor parking lot near the marina and continues until the fireworks begin. As always, the SJI Rotary Club's Rock the Dock is a fundraiser for worthy causes, such as eradicating polio through the Rotary "Polio Plus" program.
The number of new polio cases this past year is less than 100 world-wide thanks to efforts from local, national, and international organizations such as Rotary and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Everyone is invited to Rock the Dock. Food, beverages, dancing, and fun! Admission is $10. Children 12 and under (accompanied by an adult) get in free.
Sponsors this year helping Rotary stamp out polio world-wide is Islanders Bank and CenturyLink .
