06/22/2012: "Save the Date--Annual Pig War Picnic on the Fourth of July"

It’s time for the Fourth of July Pig War Picnic brought to you by the Kiwanis Club of San Juan Island! Last year was their fourth year and there was a fabulous turn out. If you were there, you joined hundreds of island families who brought their kids, friends and relatives to a one-of-a-kind community picnic and celebration.


The Kiwanis' are expecting an even bigger and better event this year! Local bands are donating their time and performing (One More Time Band, Legacy, The Tease).

And of course there will be pie-eating contest, cakewalk, kid’s games and of course the best barbecue in town for $5!

Watch for them in the parade and advertising their sponsors. Your donation and support will go directly back into our community. See you there!

Date: Fourth of July Time: 11:15 am (right after the parade).
Place: Historical Museum on Price Street.
