04/30/2009: "SJC Fair Volunteers Needed"

(SJC Fair Board photo )
By Rev Shannon:
Would you like to be a part of the team that makes our Fair great?
The San Juan County Fair is in need of several Department Superintendents and volunteers for the 2009 Fair. Each Fair department has a Superintendent or team of Superintendents who coordinate the exhibits, volunteers and demonstrations.
The Superintendent works closely with the Fair staff to ensure that all entries are submitted correctly, displayed and judged.
This is an important and rewarding job and all Superintendents receive support from the staff and the Fair Board as well as assistance in setting up and decorating their departments.
Openings for this year include: Fruit; Vegetables; Crafts & Woodworking; Food Preservation; Junior Arts & Crafts; Beer & Wine and Grains & Forage Plants. If superintendents are not found for these departments, the department may not be able to receive entries for this year’s Fair.
The Fair is also seeking volunteers to be available to assist in various departments and at events throughout the year.
If you have the time, desire, and love of the Fair, please, help fill these positions. Contact Rev Shannon or Jennifer Allen by email at info@sanjuancountyfair.org or call 378-4310.
