01/30/2009: "UPDATED: Looking For A Bailout Foundation"
The last time we wrote about Tom Henry Doenges he had been nominated for a Music Award, which, that and a few extra dollars, will buy you a latte.
Now Tom has a new song, called: "I'm Looking for a Bailout”, and this time around Tom has what he calls “My grand plan” and it “is this: I have registered the name of the song as an Internet .com today, and if I can sell at least 1Million units (a dollar each -small when compared to National sales in records) I will have my "bailout", and so right now: EVERY download of this song will find 50% going directly into the foundation escrow account.
The creating of a foundation is the second part of Tom’s grand plan. Tom says he is “proposing to create a foundation called.... “I’m Looking for a Bailout”; and any money left over from his "bailout" will be held in an account to be used to help others who submit a “why they need a bailout."... the foundation then selects from the entries and distributes money to them..
Tom believes it “is an idea that can happen and spark a host of may other artists, etc to do the same thing... it is like a Lotto controlled by the people.
