San Juan, Orcas and Lopez School Districts to Hold Joint School Board Meeting to Discuss Consolidation

On Monday, November 3rd, school board members and superintendents will be holding a special school board meeting to hear information about the possibilities, process and pitfalls of school district consolidation. The meeting will be held at the Presbyterian Church, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Dr. Jerry Jenkins, Superintendent of the Northwest Educational Service District for the region will present information for discussion by the school boards. The purpose of the meeting is to begin to understand processes and issues related to consolidation. The special meeting of the school boards is open to the public.
