The annual Blessing of the Animals will be held this year on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10:00 a.m. on the lawn of St. Francis Church in Friday Harbor at 425 Price Street. The event is free, open to the pubic with all types of animals are welcome. The more fur, feathers and scales the merrier.


Blessing of the Animals is a much-loved tradition celebrated in October honoring World Animal Day and St. Francis of Assisi. Come and bring your furry, feathered or scaly friend for a blessing.

If you cannot bring your pet, you may bring a photo of your pet for a blessing. Please keep pets on a leash or in an appropriate carrier at all times for their safety and the safety of all.

St Francis Friday Harbor is hosting the event.
