08/11/2010: "Fish For Teeth"
It's FISH TACO time! This time made with Southeastern Alaskan rockfish, caught from healthy stocks of rockfish! ALL PROFITS GO TO BENEFIT Fish for Teeth , which is in the process of funding dental assessments (funds already available) and treatment (when funds become available) for five kids from San Juan County. Go to Compost It (65 Nichols) between 11:00 and 2:00 on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. They are $7.00/each.
Johnny's Juice Bar will be serving organic lemonade to compliment your fish taco; all lemonade sales go to benefit Fish for Teeth. Johnny will also be blending up his incredible dairy-free juices, smoothies, and "milk"shakes
Fish for Teeth, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization (#20-8601854), has partnered with the San Juan County Oral Health Coalition. This combined effort brings the manpower to cook up your yummy fish taco, so you can donate to the cause. The suggested donation is $7.00, but please feel free to kick in more for this noble cause... in fact if you pre-pay your donation, we'll give you VIP service, which brings you to the front of the line!
Sorry, there won't be any frozen rockfish available to purchase--that is sold out--but we have FRESH LOCAL SOCKEYE SALMON which will be made available as well. Again, thank you all for supporting your local fishermen, and thank you also for supporting Fish for Teeth!
