02/09/2010: "Children's Festival Plans"

It’s time for San Juan Islanders -and new organizations- to mark their calendars for the 2010 Children’s Festival: 2010 SPACE ODYSSEY. The event is slated for May 1st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Fairgrounds.

This year’s committee is underway with preparations for the 20th annual celebration. Please, mark your calendars.

At this time we would like area activity providers to think “Space” and begin to plan for this year’s theme, 2010 Space Odyssey. It is an opportunity for established businesses to embrace our island locale and see what’s above and beyond when it comes to celebrating children.

We are exploring and welcoming new organizations to participate in this event.
