02/08/2010: "Taco Tuesday & Order Valentine's Day Roses at Spring Street"
At Spring Street International School. Tuesday, Feb 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fish Tacos -more like burritos: big flour tortillas filled with super-premium pink salmon fillets, with fresh greens, cheese, salsa, mayo, and a little cilantro and lime make for a totally yummy fish experience.
The taco things will be prepared on the spot SSIS, right there at the 4-way stop on Spring Streetand.
The will sell for $7.00 each and the proceeds go toward the middle school trip to Shakespearian Ashland, OR.
Also on this day starting around 9:00 when I arrive to set up the taco stand, I will be selling the remainder of my 2009 frozen fish fillet pack. I have enough sockeye, pink, and smoked pinks for just about everyone, but get there early if you want to get some for sure. I can sell this frozen fish when we do tacos as well, but it may be a bit chaotic at the lunch rush, so if you just want frozen fish then please try to come before or after.
Chef Matt Marinkovich says: "Thanks! Thanks for being great, loyal fish-eating customers, and thank you for supporting your local island producer(s). It really makes a big difference in the whole scheme of things. And thanks for supporting Spring Street School."
Red Roses will also be sold for Valentine's Day
For the same goal, the middle-schoolers are selling red roses to be delivered by students or Elvis on the Friday before Valentine's Day. Click HERE to order your taco(s) or buy a rose for your Love!
